13U - PeeWee

This division is tiered with both A and AA teams playing an interlocked season with the other Greater Victoria Baseball Association parks leading to the City Championships.

We anticipate having 4 teams in the A division.  The season will start at the beginning of April and run to the end of June, with play-offs starting mid-June.  You can expect your team to be on the field 3x per week; two practices and one game. The first few sessions will be practices only with games starting after Opening Ceremonies.

Games will be played not only at Carnarvon Park but other fields in the Greater Victoria area, including Gordon Head, Triangle, Peninsula, Esquimalt and Layritz.  As a result, game slots and frequency will not be consistent on a weekly basis.  Coaches will select game slots at a pre-season scheduling meeting and will inform families once the teams have been selected.

Age Requirements:

The PeeWee Division (U13) is designed for players born in 2006 and 2007.  It is sometimes possible to "play up", but this decision will be based on available space in the division and the ability of the player.  All children wanting to "play up" will need to register for the division that corresponds with their birth year and thereafter make a request to the PeeWee Coordinator to have the player assessed.  Should space be available AND the assessment confirms that they would be a better fit for the requested division allowances may be made.

PeeWee Prospects Team and Fees:

For those players in A wanting an additional challenge, we have the Prospects League (additional cost of $50) where the top players from each park form a team and play against other parks from Victoria and up-Island. These games are double-headers played on Sundays from mid-April through May.

If your player is chosen to play on a Prospects team, a new $50 registration fee will be generated and sent to you by email from our online store for registration of your player onto the Prospects team. These nominal fees cover additional costs incurred for field usage, umpires and uniforms.

PeeWee AA Team and Fees:

PeeWee AA assessments are scheduled for March 2nd and 9th from 4 - 5 pm on the Indoor Sports Field at Oak Bay Recreation Centre.

Fees:  If your player is selected to play on the AA team, a new $120 registration fee will be generated and sent to you by email from our online store for registration of your player onto the AA team. These fees cover additional costs incurred for field usage, umpires and premium uniforms.
